BCL6 rearrangements, 3q27
Chromosomal translocations involving band 3q27 (BCL6) with various different partner chromosomes occur in clinicopathologic entities different to B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL), including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), lymphoma of follicular center cell and marginal zone lymphoma; very rarely found in MALT lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Using FISH probes flanking BCL6 provides a robust, sensitive, and reproducible method for the detection of common and uncommon abnormalities of BCL6 gene in interphase nuclei.
